Using Surveyor in the Construction industry, David Throssell, Skanska's UK 3D CAD & Data Management Leader, says:

All the Properties contained in a Search or Selection set are displayed in Surveyor and the user can select which Properties are to have their Values surveyed individually or by category.

The user can further refine the content of a survey by applying Layout and Filter controls. The survey report can then be viewed immediately or exported as an Excel file.
